Pluspetrol has awarded the TECNA-AESA consortium an important contract in Camisea, Peru. The project is the Malvinas Expansion Plant EPC.

The project includes the development of engineering, supplies, manufacturing, transportation, construction and assembly, pre-commissioning and commissioning, assistance during start-up, performance tests and personnel training.

The scope includes the installation of a new 520 MMSCFD cryogenic train, a new condensed stabilization unit, two turbo-generators, two turbo-compressors and the upgrade of all the plant and field utilities.

The plant is located at Block 88, in the Gran Camisea Area of the Amazon rainforest in Peru. It is located at approximately 500 km east of Lima.

This project for Pluspetrol Peru comes along with a new expansion of the Camisea facilities; its goal is to reach the new process requirements that result from the gas production increase planned for 2012.

It is also important to highlight that TECNA has participated in every stage of the Camisea Project since the first EPC in 2004; this award reinforces the trust that Pluspetrol has in TECNA’s capability to execute EPC projects.
