TECNA has completed the provision of the original contract for the control system of Pisco, Malvinas and Clusters Pagoreni A, Pagoreni B and Cashiriari plants for Pluspetrol Perú Corporation.

This agreement was entered into by late 2006 within the framework of the Camisea Expansion Project and was developed under MAC (Main Automation Contractor) metodology, where the end Client (Owner) hires the automation of its facilities from a Contractor specialized in A&C. This supply is usually conducted through the EPC Contractor, being the control system supplier just another project vendor. Unlike most of the works undertaken by the Automation and Control Area, this project included not only the provision and start-up of control systems as well as the calibration and commissioning of all the instruments, but also the provision of assistance to more than twelve suppliers of packaged units t during the commissioning and start-up of the plant. The work was truly challenging, not only because of its complex logistics, but also due to the necessary integration of the different interests of project parties, which, in many cases, called for large management efforts in order to have them adjusted to project needs.
