Loma La Lata Station
|
Tecna-Isolux’s Joint Venture operations continue in the Loma La Lata station.
The agreement provides for the closure of the combined cycle of the station operated by Pampa Holding, located in Neuquén, Argentina. Tecna and Isolux are jointly developing this project, which will provide an additional 175 MW to the Argentine electrical power grid in its final phase, and confirms the group’s consolidation in the electric power sector.
The project involves an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract, and comprises the design, engineering, equipment and materials procurement, construction, installation and tests required to upgrade the Loma La Lata Plant to a combined cycle, so as to achieve a safe, reliable and efficient operation at the end of the Project.
The existing plant has 3 General Electric gas turbines of 123 MW each, which are fueled by natural gas. The Project will add 3 heat recovery boilers and a single electric power generating vapor turbine.
