The project for the generation of 240 MW of electric power from the coal of the Río Turbio mine continues as planned.

The main equipment units have already been allocated and the planning of on-site field activities is in an advanced stage. The Station will feed completely on the coal produced in the Río Turbio mine and has been especially designed for this type of fuel, thanks to the use of the fluidized bed technology, which is one of the most sophisticated and more safe for the environment technologies applied to coal combustion at present.
